- If you are using raw octopus, clean it with salt and water -- this helps get out all sand and dirt. If you are using frozen octopus, thaw it out.
- Boil water & cook octopus slightly (for about 30 sec to 1 min) & then strain. You don't want to cook if for too long, or else it becomes too chewy.
- In a separate pan, pour in cooking oil and crushed garlic. Stir fry for about 1-2 minutes.
- Add sliced onions, sliced carrots, and sliced jalenpeno. Mix and stir. Allow it to cook for about 5-6 minutes.
- Add Red Pepper Paste, Korean Chilli Pepper Flakes, and Soy Sauce & mix until evenly distributed
- Cut octopus into fourths and then add it to the pan and stir
- Add sesame oil.
- Mix more and add more Red Pepper Paste if you need more spice.
- Once it is all cooked, serve with rice, cooked egg, and garnish with green onions and sesame seeds!
